On The Write Track

The older I get, the more I’m convinced that the reason we work isn’t to get ahead, but rather, to keep from falling behind.  Take today for instance.  I worked a steady pace, cleaning the house, washing, folding, and putting away laundry, cooking and doing dishes, vacuuming, hanging up coats, ironing work clothes for tomorrow, answering emails that are miserably stacking up, and so on.  Not once did I accomplish anything on my Worthier Goals list.  This is how life goes by.  I have already started downsizing and streamlining because I intend for this type of existence to cease.  I am doing something to change.  I am gaining white space and peace of mind by de-cluttering and giving away items I like but do not love.  I am also tackling things on the inside by formulating a list of things that must go:  attitudes, habits, time-wasting actions, and thoughts.  You would not believe how many thoughts I’ve had to banish this week!  But the more I let go, the more focused I become.  I’m on the Write track!  Watch as my posts grow in depth and length.
